Next Gen Normandy

Educational Travel

Kate Coffey, owner of EDU Trips, and Normandy-based tour manager/guide, Pete Combee, created Next Gen Normandy in 2021 allowing visitors to benefit from their over 40 years of combined experience in the educational travel field.

Their group program and individual tours to Normandy are built around an extensive network of local friends and guides, first established by the educational not-for-profit Normandy Allies, Inc., which operated a yearly travel program to Normandy between 1999 and 2019.

Designed to welcome students, teachers and life-long learners to the historic beaches and bocage of Normandy to promote greater historical understanding of the 1944 liberation of Normandy, Next Gen Normandy wants to merge this successful model with a renewed vision for the future and offer a unique educational travel experience for the 21st Century.

Virginians to Normandy – May 2023

DFWhat an amazing trip! Pete does a wonderful job of bringing the Normandy invasion to life. Knowing what museums to visit and balancing our time with military information as well as other sites and activities. Our group was a pleasure to travel with. Our accommodations were very nice and we loved the town of Bayeux-a great hub for all our excursions and filled with wonderful restaurants. Taking part in events that I’m sure not all tour groups get to do just made this the trip of a lifetime.
